Substitutes Needed

Interested in subbing for the Lafayette Catholic School System?

Take three easy steps:

  1. In order to substitute teach at LCSS you first need to apply for a substitute teaching license unless you are a certified teacher holding a current license.  To apply for a license, go to the website LVIS (License Verification Information System) https://license.doe.in.gov/ Choose Diocese of Lafayette as the hiring school district. This will allow you to sub at any of our schools.
  2. You must have Protecting God’s Children Protocol Training to work with children in any of our schools. You will complete one course: Recognizing and Preventing Child Abuse. You will also have to submit a background check. You will receive an online certificate for both. (http://dol-in.org/online-safe-environment-training) You may complete this simultaneously to obtaining your substitute’s license.
  3. Please contact the school where you’d like to substitute know that you’ve completed the above steps. Please feel free to choose more than one school.:
Jodi Justak jjustak@lcss.org (Central Catholic Grades 7-12)
Marybeth Fabian mbfabian@lcss.org (St. Lawrence Grades K-6)
Katie Christopher kchristopher@lcss.org (St. Mary Grades K-3 and St. Boniface Grades 4-6)
