Indiana Choice Scholarships

Universal Choice Is Here!

Every student in K-12 is eligible to receive the Indiana Choice Scholarship.

Indiana Choice is also known as the “Voucher Program,” which provides scholarships to Indiana students to offset tuition costs at participating non-public schools.

Starting with 2026-2027 school year, every LCSS student K-12 is eligible to receive a Choice Scholarship. This is commonly referred to as “Universal Choice.” The award amount of the Choice Scholarship is based on the public school corporation in which the student lives. The Choice Scholarship award will automatically be reflected on your student’s tuition agreement for the 2026-2027 school year.

While specific dates haven’t yet been provided by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE), the following are the anticipated steps to finalize your Indiana Choice Scholarship:

• Parents/Guardians will need to submit proof of Indiana residency to the Office of Student Aid. 
• The IDOE will provide documents that will need to be electronically signed by parents/guardians.
• LCSS will email documents to families in the summer of 2026 that require e-signature to confirm receipt of their Choice Scholarship. 
• LCSS will submit the documentation to the state.
• Payment will be made by the IDOE directly to LCSS.

Families who would be in need of additional assistance beyond the Choice Scholarship should submit an application via FACTS. 

• The FACTS application window will open on March 1, 2027.
• The deadline to apply for additional aid is May 31, 2027.
