Faith Formation
Our Catholic faith is the center of all that we do at the Lafayette Catholic School System. Each week, our elementary schools will celebrate Mass together in the church as one school. Classes take turns performing the roles of the Mass such as serving as readers and gift bearers.
Students take theology courses. In second grade, in conjunction with the student’s home parish, students prepare for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Sacramental Preparation
In second grade, students make their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion at their home parish. Their theology lessons at St. Mary or St. Lawrence may help supplement their sacramental preparation requirements from the parish.
Theology Classes
Through theology classes, students form a deeper relationship with God. We teach the lives of saints, Catholic prayers, and structure daily instruction through a Catholic worldview. We live by our vision statement: He Shepherds, We Shape, They Shine.
