Interested in subbing for the Lafayette Catholic School System?
Take three easy steps:
- In order to substitute teach at LCSS you first need to apply for a substitute teaching license unless you are a certified teacher holding a current license. To apply for a license, go to the website LVIS (License Verification Information System) https://license.doe.in.gov/ Choose Diocese of Lafayette as the hiring school district. This will allow you to sub at any of our schools.
- You must have Protecting God’s Children Protocol Training to work with children in any of our schools. You will complete one course: Recognizing and Preventing Child Abuse. You will also have to submit a background check. You will receive an online certificate for both. (http://dol-in.org/online-safe-
environment-training) You may complete this simultaneously to obtaining your substitute’s license. - Please contact the school where you’d like to substitute know that you’ve completed the above steps.
